Hemp Can Change The World

Hemp Can Change the World — Second Edition Announcement

In 2020, in the midst of a global pause, I wrote a cookbook called Hemp Can Change the World. It was a project rooted in love—for plants, for people, and for the cultures that have long understood the power of cannabis.

Hemp Can Change the World: A Cookbook is a plant-based cookbook focusing on nutrient-dense hemp recipes. It features vegan, gluten-free dishes like hemp tabouleh and mushroom tacos to promote sustainable, high-vibe nutrition.

The book became something I’m deeply proud of. It is the first cookbook ever printed on hemp paper, with a foreword by Winona LaDuke—a lifelong environmental and Indigenous rights activist, longtime water protector, hemp farmer, and former vice-presidential candidate who ran alongside Ralph Nader. Her voice helped ground the book in a broader conversation around land, sovereignty, and sustainability.

The artwork was created by Rose Orion of the indie band Mobius Loop, bringing a visual language that feels as alive as the recipes themselves.

The response was humbling. The book was featured in Forbes, Westword, and PETA’s list of notable vegan cookbooks, as well as The Vegan Review’s Best Cookbooks of 2020. One reader shared that it was “the biggest small book they ever read”—a sentiment that has stayed with me.

The cookbook weaves together recipes inspired by cannabis cultures from around the world. Every recipe is vegan and gluten-free, spanning savory dishes, baked goods, desserts, and drinks—crafted to be both accessible and deeply nourishing, with options that are also keto-friendly.

Now, I’m honored to be releasing a second edition.

We’ll be going on tour across the U.S. and Europe in 2026 to celebrate this next chapter, connect with community, and continue the conversation around plants, food, and culture.

  • Presales open now through 4/20

  • Official launch: July 7, 2026

This project has always been about more than a cookbook—it’s about storytelling, sustainability, and reimagining what food can represent.

If you’re interested in sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming tour, I would love to connect.
