Root & The Hearth is growing, and we are looking for grounded, capable, community-minded humans to represent our apothecary at Colorado farmers markets this season.

Our markets are more than retail spaces — they are living community gatherings centered around vitality, plants, fungi, and meaningful connection.

If you love early mornings, working outdoors, talking with people, and helping build something beautiful from the ground up, we would love to meet you.

Denver — Highlands Farmers Market

Location: Highlands Neighborhood, Denver (32nd & Lowell)
Schedule: Sundays
Season: May 10 – October 25, 2026
Market Hours: 9 AM – 1PM

Start time @745 am

End time @145 pm

We are hiring:

  • One weekly team member OR

  • Two team members alternating Sundays

Training: May 10 in Denver

Summit County — Dillon Farmers Market

Location: Dillon, Colorado
Schedule: Fridays
Season: June 5 – September 25. 2026

Market hours: 9-1

Start time @730 am

End time @145 pm

We are hiring:

  • One consistent team member OR

  • Two alternating team members

Preference for applicants local to Summit County. The Role

Farmers markets require energy, presence, and teamwork.

Each market day includes:

  • Early morning setup

  • Buiding a full apothecary shop in the middle of the street

  • Engaging customers all day

  • Educating people about herbs, fungi, and vitality products

  • Breaking down and packing out the market efficiently

We have a streamlined system — but it is still real physical work.

Requirements

You are someone who:

  • Is reliable and shows up prepared

  • Has RELIABLE transportation.

  • This position includes loading your vehicle with everything to make a store on the street. This position requires a vehicle that can fit 2 6 ft tables, multiple bins and a cooler. SUV’s &Trucks will work and sedans are questionable.

  • Enjoys talking with people all day

  • Embodies kindness, curiosity, and integrity

  • Can lift 50 pounds

  • Is comfortable working outdoors in changing weather

  • Has customer service or hospitality experience

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

  • Appreciates small business and community culture

Bonus if you:

  • Love herbs, fungi, or plant medicine

  • Are interested in wellness, sustainability, or apothecary work

  • Enjoy learning while working

Compensation & Perks

  • $20/hour

  • Performance bonuses & incentives available

  • Each market day includes a $12 product trade allowance
    → Trade with fellow vendors to build relationships and community
